Willow Springs Golf Course is a par 62 links style course having that Scottish "feel", with mounding, deep greenside bunkering and "love grass" surrounding nearly every hole. The course was designed by Al Janis who worked to provide a course that would be both visually appealing, and provide a challenge to all levels of golfer.

Play here once or twice a year, most recently last fall. Course is OK as a diversion, or if you are with a novice golfer.
Short course, lots of par 3~s, and generally a little too pricey for the product. It is also usually pretty slow. Still there are some nice holes (#1 is good, #10 is good, #17 is very good), along with some duds (#4 is an especially poor design). Course does have visual appeal, and looks really nice from I-70, which runs alongside.
Tee boxes are small, but flat. Fairways are pretty narrow on a couple of holes, and some choke down the further out you get, so it may be necessary to go down a club or two. Bunkers are relatively few, and not usually well-kept. Greens are medium sized, several are tiered/contoured, and all are usually pretty beat up.
Overall, conditions are mediocre, especially considering that for the same price you can go ten miles up the road to Rattlewood, and get more bang for your buck.
Clubhouse is very small, and barely lives up to the name. This is a low-end course that could be a lot better, but needs ownership commitment to get there.

Crap. No grass on greens. My mediocre home lawn puts this place to shame. They should be embarassed to charge anything.
